Inspired by an image I found of a girl with red hair in a green dress. I just had to paint it! In this painting, I modeled the background to add a mysterious quality to it. I is amazing how so many people tell me that the girl looks like one of their nieces or cousins.

This painting was inspired believe it or not by moss growing on rocks. I liked the way the early morning sun light glowed on them. I began this painting by doing several thum nail sketches working out a composition that I liked. What would be better than to add a wolf to se off the theme "Secret Places"

The painrting was inspired by an image of a Brazilian Mangalarga Marchador which have existed for centuries in Brazil. It is a magnificent riding horse. This painting shows him galloping with fierce energy in front of a wind storm.

I am currently doing a series of paintings titled "Blossoms of Elegance" which are available and on display at Waterkolours Fine Art Gallery in Memphis, TN.

In my series titled "Blossoms of Elegance," I celebrate the beauty, strength, and sophistication of women of color, each adorned with enchanting flowers like daisies and roses. Every woman depicted in this collection embodies grace and resilience, cherishing both her individuality and the rich cultural heritage that she represents.
The flowers in this series serve a dual purpose; they are not only visual embellishments but also symbols infused with hidden meanings. Daisies, often representing innocence and purity, complement the vibrant spirit of the women, while roses symbolize love, passion, and the complexity of human emotions. By intertwining these flowers with compelling portraits, I aim to convey a narrative that transcends the canvas—highlighting the elegance and depth of the subjects while inviting viewers to reflect on their own interpretations and connections.
